Oleg Fishelev is a prominent Russian entrepreneur and serves as the Chairman of the Board for the Unimatic Group of Companies. The group is known for its expertise in engineering, supplying, and maintaining metalworking equipment, as well as for its focus on the implementation of digital technologies and business process automation.
Education
Oleg Fishelev earned his degree in Economics and Management in Mechanical Engineering from Ural Federal University (UrFU). In 2018, he further advanced his education by completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo, where he expanded his knowledge in business management and strategy.
Career
After graduating from UrFU, Oleg joined Unimatic, a company founded by his father, Igor Fishelev. Starting in entry-level roles, he quickly familiarize himself with the various aspects of the company’s operations, gaining a thorough understanding of both business and production processes. He soon rose to the position of Deputy General Director, where he concentrated on introducing digital technologies and automating business processes, significantly boosting the company’s efficiency.
In 2018, Oleg took ownership of the Unimatic Group of Companies, continuing the family legacy. Under his strategic direction, the company not only preserved its market standing but also achieved notable growth. From 2021 onwards, Unimatic has been actively pursuing import substitution by developing localized CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines. In 2022, responding to geopolitical shifts, the company pivoted away from European and Japanese partnerships, refocusing its efforts on the Chinese market. This strategic move led to the establishment of a subsidiary in China, Dalian Unimatic Trading Co. Ltd (DUT).
Today, Unimatic stands as a leader in importing machinery from China, continuing to drive innovation in the mechanical engineering industry.
